If you had a current tax exempt certificate on file with us at the time you placed your Quicksilver Scientific order and were charged tax on your order, please contact our Customer Experience team at support@quicksilverscientific.com. Our Customer Experience team will verify your tax exemption documents and if exemption is confirmed, a refund will be issued for taxes charged. However, we can not refund tax on any order if a current tax exemption document was NOT on file with us at the time the order was placed.
Every state has different requirements and forms. Quicksilver Scientific is obligated by law to charge sales tax in states where we have nexus. Those states are listed above. Additional states may be added to this list as Nexus occurs. Exemption from sales tax works based on the state you are shipping to. For the state you ship orders to, we recommend searching for “(Your State) sales tax” in an internet browser and reviewing your state’s specific guidance and forms on the topic of sales tax and exemptions. If/when you register with your state tax agency and obtain appropriate status to exempt you from your state’s sales tax, please sign and date your state’s exemption form and email it to support@quicksilverscientific.com. We will update your account to indicate you are exempt from sales tax in that state, and cease charging you sales tax on orders shipping there for a period as long as the exemption is valid. If you ship products outside of the state for which you have a tax exemption certificate on file with us, you WILL be charged sales tax if it is required by the “ship to” state. Example: You have tax exempt status on file with us for the state of Colorado, but you choose to drop ship product to a patient in California. You will be charged California sales taxes on that order unless you also have an exemption on file for California.
