Quicksilver Scientific® VP of Operations recognized in Denver Business Journal’s C-Suite Awards

Louisville, Colo. (August 31, 2020)—Quicksilver Scientific, an industry leader in nutritional supplements, is one of the prime drivers of economic growth in the Greater Denver region. Now Vice President of Operations Ran Shtein has been recognized for his contribution to that effort, named an honoree of the 2020 Denver Business Journal’s C-Suite Awards. The awards honor outstanding C-Level Executives for their invaluable contributions to the region as they identify opportunities, manage risk, achieve profitable growth and lead their organizations effectively.

“Quicksilver Scientific would not have grown as exponentially as it has over the past few years without Ran’s relentless efforts to streamline our operations,” said Christopher Shade, Ph.D., Founder & CEO, Quicksilver Scientific. “He’s confidently led our company to more efficient operations and has continued to maintain and expand upon the high level of quality and consistency required of our advanced products. He’s certainly earned this honor many times over.”

“It’s an unexpected but happy surprise to be recognized for work you take pride in,” Shtein said. “I’m honored to be listed as part of a group of other industry professionals who have helped strengthen the economy here in the Denver region.”

As the chief operations leader at Quicksilver Scientific, Shtein has been instrumental in expanding the company’s operations at all levels and stages. Through his efforts to improve efficiency of processes and procedures, Quicksilver Scientific has experienced a three-year growth rate of 675% and has expanded from a company of 10 people with a revenue of $2.9 million in 2015 to a company of 80 employees and a revenue of $22 million in 2019. Shtein’s work was a substantial reason Quicksilver Scientific was recognized as the winner of Denver Business Journal’s 2019 Fast 50 Medium Category.

The honor comes a week after New Hope announced that two of Quicksilver Scientific’s new and groundbreaking products have been recognized as finalists in The 2020 NEXTY Awards. The ultimate affirmation of excellence in the natural products industry, The NEXTYs selected Quicksilver Scientific’s Immune Charge+™ 100mL as a finalist in the Best New Supplement category, and CBD Synergies-AX Calming Formula as a finalist in the Best New Hemp-CBD Category.

This is the second year in a row that Quicksilver Scientific C-Suite executives have been recognized for their excellence: In 2019, Linda Nielander, VP of Sales & Marketing, was the winner of the CMO category. The honorees are nominated by their colleagues, bosses and friends, and they are judged by an editorial panel on individual and organizational accomplishments, community involvement, and contributions to management and innovation within their fields, among other factors.

An important part of Quicksilver Scientific’s growth in the nutritional supplements market has been the company’s successful efforts to produce technologically advanced, trusted products regulated by strict cGMP quality-control guidelines. Shtein oversees and implements cGMP processes at Quicksilver Scientific and supervises the company’s internal and third-party testing efforts.

Shtein was key to Quicksilver Scientific’s expansion from a 23,000 square-foot facility in Lafayette to a new 60,000 square-foot space in the Colorado Technology Center in Louisville in 2019. Additionally, Shtein played a crucial role in ensuring Quicksilver Scientific responded to the current COVID-19 health pandemic. In addition to managing critical relationships with global supply chain companies, Shtein helped in developing new staffing procedures to best ensure the safety of Quicksilver’s employees and to better help the company meet an increased need for its products at a time

when the company was deemed an essential business. Because of his efforts, the company instituted separate teams of workers to meet increased production demands. Shtein’s leadership on the pandemic response allowed Quicksilver Scientific to streamline new products that addressed consumer desire to support immune health for release in Q2 rather than a previously planned fall timeline.

Shtein is active in the local Jewish community and supports multiple organizations focused on Israel. These include The New Israel Fund, a nonprofit that promotes equality for all Israeli inhabitants; the American Jewish World Services, the leading Jewish organization working to fight poverty and pursue justice in the developing world; and The Jewish National Fund, a nonprofit organization and United Nations NGO that gives all generations of Jews a unique voicein building a prosperous future in Israel.

Shtein and other honorees will be recognized at an online awards reception on Monday, Sept. 21, at 1 p.m.
