Quicksilver Scientific Promotes Organization Leaders to Key Positions
Promotions expand Quicksilver’s commitment to employee satisfaction, vibrant team culture and radical innovation
Louisville, Colo. (October 19, 2021)–Robust growth over the past 18 months, combined with the pressures of the COVID-19 pandemic, has driven significant change within Quicksilver Scientific. As a result, Quicksilver today announces two promotions to newly created positions intended to help guide the company through this dynamic new era and enhance the employee experience. Linda Nielander will assume the role of Executive Vice President, reporting to company founder and CEO Dr. Christopher Shade, and Melanie Parrish will take on the position of Head of People and Culture, reporting to Nielander. Both Nielander and Parrish work out of Quicksilver’s Louisville headquarters.
Nielander is a seasoned business leader who has skillfully managed the Quicksilver marketing and sales teams over the past four years. In her new role as Executive Vice President, she will serve as second in command and report to Dr. Shade, providing guidance to members of the company’s leadership team and performing the responsibilities of President when Dr. Shade is unavailable. Nielander’s unique blend of business skills and deep industry savvy stems from her experience at Quicksilver and other notable companies like ASICS, AIRWALK, and Qwest. Her well-established management excellence and visionary leadership will help her guide all Quicksilver divisions towards achieving their strategic goals.

In Parrish’s new role as Head of People and Culture, she will spearhead Quicksilver’s strategic focus on further developing an inclusive, meaningful and creative environment that attracts, develops and engages employees – meeting new workforce expectations that will allow Quicksilver to continue its successful growth trajectory. Her work will encompass implementing strategies that build upon the company’s high-performance culture and further em
ployees’ professional development.
