Quicksilver Scientific named to BizWest Mercury 100 list of fastest growing companies in Colorado
Louisville, Colo. (June 2, 2021) – Quicksilver Scientific, Inc., a leading manufacturer of premium nutraceuticals, has been named to BizWest’s 2021 Mercury 100 list as one of the top 100 fastest growing companies in the Boulder Valley. A virtual event took place on May 27, honoring private companies in the Boulder Valley and Northern Colorado markets for their revenue growth. BizWest divides companies into five “flights,” with the highest revenue earners in flight one, then ranks them by their two-year revenue growth percentage. Quicksilver Scientific was ranked number eight in flight one, with a 30% growth rate between 2018 and 2020.
Already experiencing an impressive growth trajectory in recent years, Quicksilver Scientific boosted its profitability significantly in 2020 due to a quick pivot during the COVID-19 pandemic. The company quickly responded to a huge uptick in consumer demand for immune health supplements by fast-tracking the development and release of a suite of new immune support products—Vitamin C+ Elderberry, the Quarantine Recovery Program and Immune Charge+, which received the 2020 NEXTY award for best new supplement.
Quicksilver Scientific also implemented new manufacturing processes and initiated a 24/7 production schedule to support increased demand and boost distribution capacity. As a result, the company added a total of six new product SKUs to its lineup in 2020 while also navigating a difficult international supply chain. In addition, the company did not lay off or furlough a single employee during the pandemic. In fact, Quicksilver Scientific was able to boost its headcount by 8 percent amid one of the highest periods of unemployment that American has ever seen.
